Frequently asked questions
When will I receive my painting after purchasing?
Shipping can vary from 1-3 weeks depending on the shipping location. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your purchase has been shipped.
Are there any fees I need to be aware of?
Shipping fees will be applied at checkout. Customs fees may apply for international orders. Both fees are to be paid by the recipient.
What type of environments should I avoid exposing my paintings in order to mitigate any damage?
Avoid having your painting exposed in direct sunlight, smoky areas and extreme heat as this will deteriorate the painting.
How do I clean my painting?
Paintings finished in varnish: Regular dusting with a clean, dry brush is advisable every few months. If required, clean with a slightly damp rag with a mild detergent. Do not spray cleaning solution directly onto painting or over-scrub the surface as this can damage the painting. Keep checking the cleaning rag throughout the cleaning process to ensure that no paint has been picked up during the cleaning process. If this occurs, immediately stop cleaning. Typically, cleaning a painting is only required once ever year if the painting is exposed in harsh conditions.
Paintings finished in resin: Treat the resin surface as if the surface is glass. Clean your resin art just as you would clean glass by spraying it with a mild glass cleaning solution, then gently wiping it dry with a soft cloth or paper towel. You can safely use a mild glass cleaner without damaging the resin surface. This method of cleaning is to not be applied to the sides of the painting. Avoid the use of abrasive cleansers, scouring pads, alcohol based solutions or bleach as they may cause damage.
How do I install hanging hardware for my painting?
See product description in the “Shop” page to see if hardware is included with the painting you plan on purchasing. If you wish to install hanging hardware yourself, please refer to this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFBPzc94KzY. Be aware that eye screws/D-rings and wires have weight limitations so be sure to read the packaging before purchasing the required items to hang your painting. Any damage from improper hardware installation will not be eligible for a refund.
Does my painting include framing?
Typically, our paintings do not include framing. See product description in the “Shop” page to see if the painting you wish to purchase includes framing. Our paintings have been finished in a way that allow our pieces to be displayed beautifully without the need for framing. Leaving work unframed allows viewers to focus solely on the artwork. If a frame is preferred, we advise using floating frames as this best suits the style of work that we produce. Consult with your preferred framing service if you wish to have your painting professionally framed.
Will the colors of artwork look the same as it appears on my screen?
We have made slight adjustments the images to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear in our store. We cannot guarantee that your screen display of any color will be accurate.
Would it be possible to get commissioned work?
Yes! Send an email to nickhoangart@gmail.com to request commissioned work and specify the design you wish to have commissioned. We can decide to continue with the commissioned process or, respectfully, decline if we do not see that your vision is the type of work that is best suited for the artist. From there you will be sent a form to fill out to establish the design, price and lead times to receive a finished piece. Note that designs for the commissioned pieces may have slight changes from the original design throughout the painting process due to the nature of the creative process. The artist will reach out to the client with updates to ensure if the client wishes to proceed in the new direction.
